So it's been a long time since I've been on Deviantart and a lot has happened over the last few years, which had a massive impact on my life and my time spent on artwork.
I was diagnosed with a neurological condition that severely impacted my sight, balance and caused bad fatigue. I developed acquired nystagmus, whereby my eyes involuntarily twitched/wobbled and meant the world appeared to be moving if I looked from side to side.
This prevented me focusing on anything properly, in particular faces and moving objects, and made drawing especially difficult.
I didn't realise the full impact it was having on my life until after I had major brain surgery and I finally got some relief from my symptoms, which was amazing as the point of the surgery was to prevent things getting worse not relieving them.
I went from occasionally using a guide cane, being unable to cross a road safely due to depth perception issues and not being able to stay out for longer than 4 hours to pretty much a full recovery with my nystagmus only being noticeable when I'm tired or stressed.
I also started a new job in a medical setting just before COVID hit, which I've settled into really well. So much so that I'm now a first time manager of a small team. It's been a learning curve and it was difficult working throughout COVID while lots of other people were on furlough safe at home. The anxiety and fears for COVID were present every day and, while other non-medical people finally went out and mingled socially, a lot of my colleagues were too anxious or wary to do this. We have started getting back to normality now though COVID is always still in the back of people's minds.
My artwork has taken a backseat through all of this and I hope I can finally spend a little time making more art that I love. Even if it's just a random doodle here and there and not a fully fledged design.
While I really enjoyed making my Disney line art, it was something I started so long ago and have done for so many years that I was starting to get bored of it so I made the decision that I will not be doing anymore of these going forwards. I want to be able to create my own unique designs possibly in a similar style or even create something totally new but that is all my own.
Hopefully I can start posting things I come up with on here and stay on DA a bit more regularly. I may even put some of my designs up for sale in the future if I get the time.
Art Journal
I was always told by art teachers that I was very neat with my art (even though my pages were never clean) so this is my attempt to be a bit more free with my creativity and hopefully use some new materials.
Also I've started buying some supplies to make and sell my disney designs as jewellery. If the testers work then they'll be up for sale shortly (maybe even in time for Christmas) and there may also be potential to sell some prints of my work for those that are interested.
Moving
Just to let you all know that I'm in the process of moving house so won't be uploading any new drawings for a while and also may be a bit slow to respond to messages (At least until I can get my internet and computer up and running) but I will definitely respond once I'm back up and running properly so you can still send me notes/messages etc.

Disney Stickers
in regards to my disney line arts being made into stickers for her home sticker business. We've come to an arrangement and she's currently in the process of producing the stickers now. They should be out from next week so go check out her store for the princess stickers as well as a load of other cool stickers! I know a few people have mentioned to me about stickers well here's your opportunity to get some 
(and I'm sure if you ask her nicely she'd be happy to do any other stickers you wanted designed for a price of course). I'm really excited to see how they turn out and I hope you all like them too.Ariel tattoo hit!

I never would have believed it would become so popular. Thanks everyone for all the great comments and for those of you who got it tattooed an even bigger thanks, as knowing that someone loves your work enough to want it on their body permanently is just so flattering and gives me a lot of pride as an artist. ^_^
Ok speech aside I'm finally cracking down on some more disney line arts (while I'm not searching for modelmaking work) and I've got my belle ready to scan and upload so I'll get that done later today or tomorrow (though truth be told I'm not sure I like it much). I'm also working on a rapunzel tattoo for my sister but unfortunately you guys won't be able to see that one, as we want it to be personal and unique (and the ariel has shown how unlikely that would be if it's up here). I'm still up for suggestions on any further characters to do and also what do people think about me doing a disney villains/superhero series? Not sure how well the superhero one would go but they're my other big passion aside from disney.
Modelmaking wise I've been working on some simple puppets for an amateur production of Skellig that just finished last week so I'll upload some images of those soon too. I'm in the process of finishing up my simba model that was supposed to be given to my sister 2 years ago for christmas... whoops but she's still finishing my christmas gift too so all is fine. I'm thinking of starting to create my own jewellery based on the disney lineart as well as a few other things I've got in mind so once I start on those I'll get some pictures up too and maybe if I can make enough I'll start selling them online so I'll keep you all posted on that. Other than that not much else is happening right now.
